OPost Terms of Service

Effective date: 3 June 2026
Last updated: 3 June 2026

These Terms of Service apply to your access to and use of OPost. OPost may be operated by the relevant OPost legal entity or operator identified on this website or in the app.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using OPost, creating an account, submitting a place/entity, uploading media or documents, connecting a social account, or using any related service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use OPost.

2. What OPost does

OPost is a location and entity discovery platform. It helps users register, verify, review, manage and discover places, services, institutions, businesses, facilities, public-facing entities and location-based records.

OPost may include maps, coordinates, OPost codes or resolved spatial identifiers, search, route previews, media, documents, social Highlights, staff review tools, user activity and related features.

3. Accounts and verification

You may need an account to use some features. You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your login details secure, and using your account lawfully.

OPost may support different roles or trust levels, such as visitor, user, contributor, institution, staff or superadmin. Certain actions may require email verification, phone verification, identity verification, institution verification, staff authorization, payment or approval.

4. Submissions and entity records

When you submit, suggest, claim, edit or review a POI / Data / Entity, you must provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge. You must not submit false, misleading, impersonating, harmful, illegal or unauthorized information.

Submitted information may include public-facing details such as name, category, description, address, contact information, service details, media, social links and location data. Some submitted information may be reviewed before publication.

You confirm that you have the rights, authority or lawful basis to submit any information, media, document, link or claim you provide to OPost.

5. Location and OPost identifiers

OPost is built around location data. You must not intentionally pin a false location, manipulate coordinates, misrepresent administrative areas or use OPost identifiers in a way that creates false location identity.

Where a map pin, coordinates or OPost-resolved location conflicts with manually selected administrative information, OPost may prefer the location captured from the pin, coordinates, GPS or backend-resolved spatial record.

6. Media, documents and Highlights

You may upload photos, videos, documents, licences, permits, authorization letters, correction evidence or other files where the platform allows it. You must not upload files that are illegal, malicious, infringing, abusive, misleading or unrelated to the submission.

Social Highlights may display selected public links, embedded posts, previews or authorized connected-account media. You are responsible for ensuring that any social link or content you add is lawful and appropriate for public display.

OPost may remove, hide, reject or restrict media, documents or Highlights that break these Terms, platform rules, law, provider rules, review standards or safety requirements.

7. Paid features and subscriptions

OPost may offer paid features, subscriptions, contributor upgrades, institution tools, verification services or other paid services. Pricing, billing periods, renewal terms, cancellation options and refund rules will be shown before purchase where applicable.

Paid access does not guarantee that a submitted place/entity will be approved or published. Review outcomes depend on accuracy, evidence, policy compliance, location correctness and other platform standards.

8. Acceptable use

You must not misuse OPost. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • submitting false, fraudulent, stolen, impersonating or misleading information;
  • uploading malware, harmful files or unauthorized documents;
  • scraping, reverse engineering, attacking, overloading or bypassing platform controls;
  • harassing users, staff, institutions or entity owners;
  • posting unlawful, discriminatory, violent, sexual, exploitative or harmful content;
  • using OPost to facilitate fraud, scams, illegal services or unsafe activity;
  • misusing social media integrations, tokens, embeds or provider data;
  • attempting to access private review notes, private documents, tokens or restricted staff tools.

9. Review, correction and publishing

OPost may review submissions using staff, institutions, automated checks, AI-assisted tools or other quality controls. OPost may approve, reject, archive, escalate, request corrections, restrict visibility or remove submissions at its discretion.

Published entity records may be updated, corrected, merged, de-duplicated, suspended or removed where needed for accuracy, safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention or platform quality.

10. Intellectual property

OPost, its brand, interface, software, databases, OPost identifiers, workflows, design, logos and platform content are owned by OPost or its licensors, except for content submitted by users or third parties.

By submitting content to OPost, you grant OPost a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, reproduce, adapt, moderate, review and use that content as needed to provide and improve the service, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

11. Third-party services

OPost may use or link to third-party services such as map providers, hosting providers, payment processors, email/SMS providers, analytics tools and social media platforms. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

OPost is not responsible for the independent actions, content, availability, policies or data practices of third-party platforms.

12. AI-assisted features

OPost may use automated or AI-assisted features to support search, duplicate detection, location mismatch checks, category suggestions, fraud signals, moderation and staff review. These tools are intended to assist, not replace every human decision.

You should not rely on AI-generated or automated outputs as professional, legal, medical, financial, emergency or government advice.

13. Suspension and termination

OPost may suspend, restrict or terminate access if we believe you have broken these Terms, created risk, misused the platform, submitted fraudulent information, violated law, infringed rights or threatened platform integrity.

You may stop using OPost at any time. Account and data deletion requests are handled according to the Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page.

14. Disclaimers

OPost is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While OPost aims to improve location and entity trust, we do not guarantee that every record, route, map, review outcome, third-party link, social embed or submitted detail will always be complete, accurate, available or error-free.

OPost is not a replacement for official land registries, emergency services, regulatory checks, professional due diligence, legal advice or government records.

15. Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, OPost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill or losses caused by misuse, inaccurate submissions, third-party services, unavailable features or unauthorized access.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
